Gwent Landlord Forum
Wednesday, 31 May 2017 from 18:00 to 20:00 (BST)
2017 is flying by and changes to Landlord regulations seem to be keeping pace. So we would like to invite you to attend the 3rd Gwent Landlord Forum of this year to help you keep up to date with all these changes.
As always, our invitation goes out to all who may be interested so if you know someone who is a landlord or thinking about becoming a landlord, please do pass this invitation on to them - we are always happy to welcome new guests.
Our first speaker will be Neil Soundy of Neil Soundy Financial Services Limited, Cardiff. Neil will be talking about
Buying via Ltd Co / SPV/ Trading company.
Lower rental coverage requirements via Ltd Co / SPV.
Buying Multi Unit Block or HMO.
Basic taxation on Ltd Co BTL
Use of Tenancy in Common on existing personal BTL's
Can I transfer existing personal BTL's to Ltd Co.
AIRBNB for landlords
Our second speaker will be Daniel Bellis, Policy Officer with the Residential Landlords Association, Wales. Daniel has spoken at this forum before and is returning to keep you up to date on all the changes with The Renting Homes Act 2015.
The Renting Homes Act 2015 will create standardised contracts across the rental sector and bring in a number of other changes, such as Fit for Human Habitation regulations, changes in abandonment procedure and changes to joint contracts. With over 20 different regulation still to finalise before landlords start using the new system, a lot has already changed since the Act was first passed.
As usual our speakers and other representatives of their organisations will be staying after the presentations for you to speak to.
