Event description

Description

There have been reports of guests connecting with the Countess of Dundonald and the other ghosts that haunt Gwrych Castle. Over the years many have felt, heard and also communicated with the spirits of servants and the dark energy of Lord Dundonald.

As the site has been rejuvenated the past has come to life more and more, with reports coming in of new energies and past occupatants walking the area.

This year two new parts of Gwrych Castle have been opened up for the public to make contact with their former inhabitants. The night will consist of locations within Gwrych Castle and the wider Gwrych Castle Estate.

Are you brave enough to spend the night in a haunted location? Will you be among the FIRST to visit the new locations and see what comes to life from past decades?

Vigils will take place in locations around the castle grounds using a range of paranormal equipment including dowsing rods and table tipping for those who want to participate. The ghost hunt is conducted by a proven team familiar with Gwrych Castle.

Limited spaces are available so book now to avoid disapointment.

Please contact the Trust if you are attending on foot.

It is advisable to wear layered clothing as temperatures can get cold on investigations and in open air vigils. We recommend flat shoes with non-slip soles, as you will be walking around in the dark, on uneven surfaces and on staircases with no lighting.

Don’t forget your torch as the event does take place in locations that will be dark. There is no access to the main castle building over the night.

You are welcome to bring cameras and personal paranormal investigation equipment.

There will be tea/coffee available only on the final third of the night and time at the end to catch up with other group members. Please note: no facilities are available for the first two locations and no alcohol is permitted during the investigation.

The first location is offsite from the main castle area and will be revealed only upon completion of booking. Arrival instructions will be sent by email.

This event is for persons aged 16 and over only.

Proceeds go to the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust and help us to restore Gwrych Castle back to its former glory.
