Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Young People; are we doing enough to help them to...

As part of work taking place in West Yorkshire this conference will highlight positive initiatives and discuss whether we are doing the right things to help young people from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities to live safer lives.
The conference will explore topics such as child sexual exploitation, barriers to engagement and available support; and will include the first showing of an animation made by local young people from Gypsy and Traveller communities.
Key note speakers include:
Petr Torak MBE; a serving Police Constable, co-founder and Vice-Chair of Gypsy Roma Traveller Police Association
Jon Best; CSE Coordinator, Detective Inspector for Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit
Siobhan Spencer MBE; National Federation of Gypsy Liaison Groups (NFGLG)
Danielle Amann; The Children’s Society

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Centre is situated at the bottom of Great George Street, next door to the Leeds General Infirmary and opposite the Virgin Health Club beside the footbridge.
Car parking is available at The Light, the St Johns Centre and the Merrion Centre. These are all within 5 minutes walk from the St George’s Centre
