Join us for this two-part online course in which Chris Trevor will take you on a journey through the most important elements of primary history subject leadership. You may be new to the role or established but would like to have some formal training to carry out the role more effectively, particularly in light of the new Ofsted education inspection framework.
Learning outcomes
The course covers key elements of primary history subject leadership, such as:
- making the case for history with senior leaders
- enthusing others and leading staff meetings about history
- exploring practical approaches to developing an innovative, inclusive and effective history curriculum in your school
- suggestions on steps towards efficient action planning and how to make a wider impact
- opportunities to discuss current issues in primary history education
- a chance to share resources and assessment approaches, plus much more

How will the course take place?
The course will take place using Zoom Meetings and will take place in two parts:
- Part 1: 17 June 2022, 1pm - 4:30pm
- Part 2: 24 June 2022, 1pm - 4:30pm
How do I join the course?
The registered attendee will be sent an email from the HA via Eventbrite with the joining information one week before the course, with a reminder the day before.
Can I arrange to pay by invoice?
Yes, through the online booking. Please follow the booking process as normal, then at the order form select ‘Pay by invoice’ from the drop-down menu under ‘Payment method’.
Eventbrite will then send you an automatically-generated invoice via email attachment with your order confirmation. This includes details of how to pay by BACS or cheque and should be forwarded on to your school’s finance department for payment within 30 days.
