About this event

Historical Association webinar series: Boosting subject knowledge at Key Stage 1

Comparing significant individuals 3; Diversity in Britain (including Rosa Parks and Emily Davison)

Andrew Wrenn

Hear about an array of different significant individuals who reflect Britain’s historic diversity, pairing distinctive figures for comparison from different periods and including contrasting pioneers for racial and gender equality, the African-American civil rights activist Rosa Parks and the white British suffragette martyr, Emily Davison who threw herself under the Kings horse at the Derby in 1913.

This webinar will focus on increasing knowledge of the period so that the content can be taught confidently in greater depth in line with Ofsted expectations. It will explore ways of linking content to concepts around rigorous enquiry questions with useful links and suggestions for activities that can help build a coherent medium-term plan.

This webinar is part of a series on Boosting subject knowledge at Key Stage 1. A discount is available for block bookings of multiple webinars in the series. For more information please visit the HA website and make a booking using the booking form.
