Want to move from Corporate Ownership of the creative marketplace to Community Ownership?

Then you are welcome to the Hack the System event!

Join us at LSBU Croydon Campus on September 19, 2025 at 5:00 PM for the start of an exciting three days devoted to creating Opportunities and a Fair Deal for creatives in our community in South London.

We invite Consumers to tell us about their preferences, who they follow, how they spend, and what it means to belong to an artist's circle.

We invite Creatives to tell us about their dreams, their tribe of users, creative process, business development and engagement models.

We invite Developers to study the relationship between consumers and creatives, and use design thinking to make a preliminary working model of a digital platform that offers both:

1. a range of products from local artists and designers, and
2. a two-way decision making community as an excercise in deliberative and participatory democracy.

Lead Facilitator:

The Lead Facilitator for the 3-day event is Andrew Ridge. Andrew has led inspiring workshops in universities in central and south London, and is himself a leading Radix proponant, and a member of the famous ArtSect DAO.

Additional Facilitators:

David-Barrington West - Seasoned IT project manger having worked for 25 years in financial services.

Dr Valerio Ficcadenti - Associate Professor at LSBU Business School and academic specialising in business and finance and research methods.

David Randall, Board Member of Crystalisr and proponant of community wealth building in South London.

The outputs from the event, which takes place over one complete and two half days, are:

• A Preliminary Designed Solution (MPV)
• A Roadmap setting out how to to build, launch and sustain such a marketplace.
• All participants will be rewarded with the possibility of receiving Digital Tokens to supercharge their early adoption.

Day 1 Friday 19th Sept: 5.00pm – 8.00pm Consumer +Artist Engagement World Cafe (Part 1) and Developer Convention

Day 2: Saturday 20th Sept: 9.00am – 4.00pm Consumer +Artist Engagement World Cafe (Part 2), Developer Design Workshop (Part 1) then social

Day 3: Sunday 21st Sept: 10.00am – 3.00pm Developer Design Workshop (Part 2) then depart.
