Event description
On May 18th, Grow hosts a collective of Hackney’s young musical talents and spreading love through sound is the main objective!

About this event

With the Ensemble’s own Jazz Trio fronted by AdamPD, Soul Quartet featuring Natanya Popoola and Soul/Funk DJ set from Cuppa Sounds the 18th will be night of beautiful energy and one not to forget!

The Ensemble has been going since 2019 and has always been infused with soulful musical voices, none other than Natanya’s, who’s musicality and presence is second to none. Blowing the roof off local venues in Dalston as well as the Hackney Carnival, the instrumentalists love to host a party, but for the first time DJ Cuppa Sounds, another local talent, blesses this event with his feel-good mixes.

Food & Drink - Kitchen open till 10pm

///////////////

Our Spice Trail Menu is predominantly plant based, with some ethically sourced meat options, as part of our conscious drive towards sustainability. Our passion is for the cooking of the Middle East and southern Mediterranean so expect punchy flavours, warm spices and as always the best ingredients we can find to comfort and nourish the soul.

With our drinks, we partner with breweries St Austell and Signature Brew for our lagers and IPAs and serve organic wine and prosecco which help international wildlife charity, Born Free. We design our spin on such drinks as Rum Punch, homemade Hackney Spiced Rum, Vegan White Russian and Espresso Martini.

Grow

////////////////

Grow, Hackney is an independent and self-organised eco-system of studios and a creative space with bars and a kitchen created out of an old sausage factory by the River Lea in Hackney Wick. It is run as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business and works in partnership with local artists, musicians, DJ's and community groups. Most events are free, from live jazz and blues, open deck reggae, open mic and art and film festivals. Grow pays London Living Wage, uses eco-electricty and sources ethical and locally wherever possible. Grow exists for music, art, food, conversation, community and belonging. Everyone is welcome.
