Hackney Libraries: Consultation on Opening Hours 2025
Overview
We are proud of our eight Hackney libraries and we want to ensure that we can keep them open so that every resident continues to have access to a good, modern library close to where they live.
However, Hackney Council is currently facing major financial challenges. This means we need to reduce our opening hours to meet a smaller budget, while avoiding the closure of any of our branches.
We're asking residents and library users their thoughts on the proposed changes to opening hours: we need you to tell us how Hackney Libraries can continue to best serve you.
