Date: Friday 12th September

Time: 10–11:30am OR 1–2:30pm

Venue: Growing Communities Springfield Market Garden, Springfield Park (located at the top of the park, 50 metres further along from the Glasshouse building, 100 metres from Springfield House where the café is)

Workshops are free and suitable for all ages | First come, first served

Low Carbon Chinatown is an environmental art project that uses Chinese food culture in the UK as a starting point due its popularity and misperceptions around its environmental impact. Through collaboration with UK-based East and Southeast Asian migrant communities, artist Ling Tan works to develop new ‘authentic’ sustainable ways of producing, sourcing and consuming food that evokes joy and memories using science, art and technology.https://lowcarbon.lingql.com/chinatown

Hackney's Low Carbon Chinatown is let by artist Ling Tan and supported by Hackney Council @hackneycouncil, with public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England @aceagrams.
