Following on from the success of the first Hackpool event held at Mereside Primary School in June 2014, the second event in 2015 will be a massive event for schools in the North West.
With a new venue offering a greater capacity for more schools to attend we can offer more space for your projects, and are opening the event up to secondary schools as well !
We are supported by The Raspberry Pi Foundation who are the inventors of the Raspberry Pi computer, and they are working with the Hackpool organisers to enable more children to create, build and code their dream Blackpool Illumination.
The challenge remains the same, whereby schools will code using the Raspberry Pi to create a light sequence that will be judged on creativity, the sequence itself and the cleanness of the code.
With special guests, a number of sponsors who will be in attendance at the event, this promises to be the biggest coding event for school children in the UK. Each school can bring teams of 4-6 children to take part in the event.
