Day Night Mini Enduro is back!

The Night Enduro will be hosted by One Planet Adventure, Llandegla on Saturday 23rd November from 3PM till 7PM.

New Stages for this Mash Up format meaning that you can ride each of the 3 stages as many times as you can to get a winning time.

Lights
Do you need them? only if your stilll racing when it gets dark, the stages are mot flood lit but its so much more fun racing when it gets dark,
We start when its still light so you can get to race the stages in day light until it start to get dark.

The course opens at 3PM and it’s up to you to ride as much as you want till 7PM. There are no time penalties for transitions and no pressure to score that one perfect run. It’s all about about having fun and going fast without the pressure of ‘normal’ enduro racing … all with the twist of racing in the dark!

One Planet Adventure Llandegla will remain open throughout the evening and riders can drop back into base between stages to sample their Award Winning bacon butties or to use the bike shop.

Llandegla boasts over 44km of top quality, fun, flowing singletrack. We have some great stages that will challenge the best whilst staying fun and rideable for everyone. The course is Mash Up format means that final distance is up to you! There will be live timing throughout the event and riders will be able to see live stage times on their phones as they race.

Directions

Coed Llandegla Forest is located on the A525, approximately 7 miles west of Wrexham.

From Chester take the A483 south from Chester towards Wrexham then take the A525 west signed Ruthin. Coed Llandegla is signposted from the road, to the left, approximately 1 mile after the Moors Inn.

From Ruthin area take the A525 east towards Wrexham. Coed Llandegla Forest is signed from the road on the right, approximately 1 mile after the Plough Pub.

Our postcode is LL11 3AA, however, if using Sat Nav this does not take you directly to the centre, but will get you to the turning to the centre off the A525

Car parking

Car parking ticket is required.

Income from car parking charges helps towards the upkeep of the site, and development of new facilities and trails.

Public transport

The nearest train station Wrexham General. Directions from the station to the visitor centre can be found here.

The X50 bus (Wrexham – Denbigh – Rhyl) passes the entry road to Coed Llandegla Forest. For details of public transport visit www.traveline-cymru.info
No Easy Ups
NO Camping or overnight parking

3)Registration
Saturday in Cafe
Registration Opens 2.30pm

Registration Closes at 6.00pm
You must have sign on and collected your number board by 6.00pm to race.

Forest open to ride to everyone as normal.


Racing Starts at 3.00pm on all stages with Marshals or medics on the stages., you can start any stage in any order and repeat the stages as many times as you want until 7pm when all stages will close.
You need to complete all the stages to be counted for the results. Your fastest time from each stage will be used for the results.
You can check the results online www.minienduro.tv or in the Café on the big Screen.

**The organisers reserve the right to change this schedule if they feel necessary. If this happens riders will be kept fully informed by PA announcements or at the start/finish of a stage.

Start Times
No Start times just start when you want on any stage.
The race order is:
No race order you can ride with mates and start in any order.

4) Transponder Deposit
We need to take copy of credit or debit card for transponder deposit will be returned to you when you return the transponder. If you will have to if you lose or damaged the transponder.

Please return your transponder after the race or if you pull out of the race to the café to collect your deposit slip back.

All stages will have live timing posted direct to the internet (subject to signal)

Safety

  • Open or full face helmets can be worn and the strap done up at all times during the race.
  • Bar End plugs must in end of your handle bars
  • No pushing back up the stage, please use a fire roads by each stage to repeat a section of the stage.
  • The tracks are taped in places these are for safety to keep going in the right direction please don’t cut the tape.

Timing:

Active Transponders will be used to give live stages times from each stage during the night. Riders can check their stages times in real-time on their mobile phones on this link.

Rules:

The race will follow a ‘Mash Up’ format meaning that you’re free to ride each stage as many times as you are able within the time available (4PM to 7PM). No sectioning of stages is permitted and riders must ride full runs only. All stages will close at 7PM and no riding is permitted after that time. Riders will be ranked based on their results on their fastest 3 stages.

Bikes:

Any mountain bike is allowed, including eBikes and hardtails which have their own categories. Only one bicycle can be used during the event, including any transition stages. Competitors must start and finish the competition on the same frame, fork and wheels.

Equipment:

  • A helmet conforming to technical regulation 8.6.1 must be worn during all race and transition stages. Full face or open face helmets are permitted.
  • Lights are essential.
  • Knee and elbow protectors are advisable.
  • All Competitors must be self sufficient and prepared for a varying climate as well as any basic mechanical repairs. Consideration should be given to the nature of the course and the length of time the event may take to complete.

The course is marked with signs and with some sections that are taped if a specific line should be taken on the stage. If a competitor leaves the trail/course, they must re-enter at the same point and must restore the tape as they found it.

Course Cutting means disqualification. If a rider is spotted cutting a special stage course by a marshal they will be disqualified.

Race Entries.

The race is limited to 350 riders and it sell out every year so we advise you to enter asap.
Who can race? if your 14 or over have a mountain bike and a helmet then you can race you will need to follow the transtions around the forest so you need to be able to look after yourself. But your never to far away from race HQ and the cafe.

Start Times

No start itmes this is a mash up so ride with your mates, do as many runs as you like.

Bikes

An all mountain bike is ideal for these races but any mountain bike is allowed

  • E-bikes
  • hardtail,
  • short travel,
  • long travel,
  • 29”
  • a downhill bike but not recommended with the riding in-between transfer stages.
  • Only one Bicycle can be used during an event, including any transition stages.
  • Competitors must start and finish the competition on the same frame, fork and wheels.

E-Bikes or E-MTB

All bikes used to compete within the E-bike class at the mini enduro races should comply with the current eu directive and abide by the rules in force.

An assisted maximum speed limited to 15.5mph.

Facilities

On site there is the cafe with a bike wash.

Camping and Parking.

Car park is pay and display but sorry but no overnight parking or camping on site.

Refunds and Transfers:

If you wish to cancel a booking please note the following cancellation conditions:

  • 29+ days notice: Entry fee minus a £15.00 administration charge per race cancelled. Refunds will be credited back to the card on which you originally paid within 28 days of your notice in writing to chris@minienduro.tv
  • 28 days or less, no refund.
  • Transfer requests with 29 days notice are applicable for any remaining events in that year.
  • Transfer requests 28 days or less notice are not applicable.
  • Please note you can not swap your entry with another rider.
  • The race weekend starts from 15:00 on the Friday before therefore the timescales above mean all e-mails must be received by our deadline which is 4 weeks before the 15:00 on the Friday before the race day.
  • The above policies are not dependant on circumstances and are final.
