Half-term Forest School (8-11 year olds)

Set in a stunning woodland overlooking Chew Valley Lake, this half-term we've got something special! If your kids are aching to get outdoors, get muddy and get creative then here's their chance!

During our Forest school for 8-12 year olds we'll be getting hand-on with fire skills, campfire cookery, using hand-tools for wood-craft projects, playing games and getting muddy!

Looking for activities for 5-7 year olds? Click here.

It's the perfect half-term antidote to the school classroom!

Forest School is a valuable opportunity for children to:

  • work co-operatively and build trust and respect for one another
  • learn new practical skills
  • develop self-esteem and independence
  • connect with nature around them
  • have fun!

Prices includes a hot drink and snack on the day and are inclusive of booking fees.

Recommend a friend and you both receive 10% off!

This Forest School session will be held in woodlands in Chew Stoke. Click here to see the location of the woods on a map.

Toilet Facilities

Since this Forest School is out in the wilds(!) we have no permanent toilet facilities on site and so will be providing a temporary, private (and hygienic) latrine that we will show children how to use. A great skill to learn for wild camping! Hand-washing facilities will be provided.

We offer 10% sibling discounts for parents booking more than one child onto our Family Cookery day. Please use the promotional code sibling. NB. This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.

Recommend a friend and you both receive 10% off. Contact with your friend's name for the discount code.

Members of The Community Farm receive a 10% discount on prices. Please enter your promotional code when booking. (You should have received this in an email newsletter from the farm. If you would like a reminder please email
