We have partnered with Marie Curie to implement our End-of-Life Care Strategy as part of our dedication to ensuring outstanding care extends throughout a residents’ life journey.

Through this unique collaboration, Marie Curie will provide training in end-of-life awareness; communication; coping strategies; symptom management and care planning to over 500 Hallmark employees. Meanwhile, we will support Marie Curie to hone its resources for a care home audience and in the progression of relevant research to improve end of life care outcomes for older people.

At this event, which will take place on Wednesday 14th April at 11am we will be giving an overview of our organisation, our End-of-Life Care Strategy and our partnership with Marie Curie. Marie Curie will also share why they have decided to collaborate with Hallmark and will give a summary of what they are looking to gain from the partnership.

Our End-of-Life Care Champions will also be sharing what the partnership means to their professional development and how they intend on making a difference.

The event will be culminated with a live question-and-answer section. As this segment will be limited to 30 minutes, we recommend that questions are sent in advance to avoid disappointment.

• 11:15am – Deputy Director, Devolved Nations and National Programmes at Marie Curie, Eamon O’Kane will explain what the partnership means to them.

• 11:30am – Hallmark Care Homes Care Quality Governance and Compliance Director, Julie Rayner will give an overview of Hallmark’s End of Life Care Strategy.

• 11:50am – Hallmark Care Home’s End of Life Care Champions will explain what the programme means to their professional development.

• 12:00pm – Live question and answer segment to be chaired by Avnish Goyal.
