Clifton hall in Birkenhead was originally built as a home in 1845, in 1851 the building was remodelled as a change of venue. The magnificent building has 2 storeys and sits upon consecrated ground. In 2023 the building was granted a grade II listed status and is now used on a commercial basis offering functions as well as a working masonic hall.
Clifton Hall has gained attention in recent years as a hotspot for paranormal activity particularly in the basement. Paranormal investigators have flocked to this site drawn in by numerous reports of unexplained phenomena from shadows, cold spots and unsettling encounters.
The basement can be described as the epicenter of these occurrences, with many investigators getting responses with equipment such as trigger objects, EMF meters and EVP recorders. Clifton hall remains a captivating subject with paranormal enthusiasts.
