It’s that time of year again, darkness prevails, as you drive up the long and winding, narrow country lanes to a place visited by the Black Death, ghosts and ghouls lurk around every corner, behind every tree!

Welcome, if you dare, to The Lost Village of Dode at Halloween.

More correctly referred to as Samhain, one of the eight Pagan Sabbats, it is the beginning of the Celtic year, and a time when the vail between the two worlds is ‘thin’, we invite you to join us for an evening of gradually increasing fear.

This year, we mark the occasion by a screening of ‘The Wicker Man’ in our spectacular, atmospheric medieval church.

Set on a remote Scottish island and telling a chilling tale that reaches its climax with human sacrifice, this early 1970’s film rapidly gained cult status. The perfect match for Dode’s history and reputation!

The ultimate ‘fright night’ - but don’t forget, driving home will hold terrors yet to come.
