Event Information
About this Event
It is more important than ever to take some time out for our wellbeing... and we are here to help you do just that! As well as to have some COVID-secure fun outdoors this half-term.
Our outdoor sessions are for family bubbles or with support bubbles (up to 5 people including children) per session for this event. We will focus on finding peace and tranquillity in nature during these tricky times at Princes Park a beautiful Grade II* Historic Park just a stone's throw from the city centre.
The sessions will be delivered one bubble at a time. Each child will get a goody bag with a take home meal.
You will be guided through Halloween-themed nature and wellbeing crafts and activities, followed by a fun spooky walk. Your bubble will learn about the park's rich biodiversity and find the grave of Judy the Donkey dated 1926 placed in the park after she gave 21 years of unwavering service providing rides for the children of Liverpool.
We heard a rumour that the friendly ghost of Judy the Donkey has come back to Princes Park because she is worried about the children of Liverpool living in Tier 3... can you do something to show her how happy you are? So she can get back to the other side? Perhaps by placing new flowers on her grave... OR you could even write her a story...
The sessions will be led by Bernadette McBride founder of Hedge Arts CIC who won the Liverpool Guild 2019 award for "The Biggest Impact on the City of Liverpool" for her nature and wellbeing workshops in the community.
