Our award-winning 7-step technique improves emotional wellbeing and self-confidence and helps children feel calm and focussed.
Each stage of the Relax Kids’ seven-step programme is based on clinically-proven approaches to anxiety management
Relax Kids’ strategies mimic clinically-proven anger management and mitigation treatments such as therapeutic exercise and yoga, breathing exercises, and mindfulness exercises. These can be used as anger management tools, ways to help at moments of meltdown, or methods to make time-outs constructive rather than punitive.
4% of children between the ages of 5 and 16 suffer from an emotional disorder such as anxiety or depression
Tame the stress beasts Relax Kids classes help children bust stress with breathing and stretching exercises, peer/self massage and deep relaxation. Our calming classes help support children’s mental and emotional well-being and give them tools to cope with life’s stresses.
Slow down the jitters of ADHD Relax Kids classes’ help children manage their hyperactivity and tension with simple relaxation techniques such as breathing, muscle relaxations and visualisations. Our focused classes help children manage their energy and emotions.
The therapeutic tools Relax Kids offers may help children to combat the sadness, stress, and upheaval of bereavement.
Relax Kids’ simple relaxation exercises can help children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders to relax, learn about emotions, and develop relationships with their parents and peers.
Sensory issues are one of the most pervasive social, emotional, and academic challenges. These can range from Sensory Processing Disorder to being hard of hearing or deaf, or being partially sighted or blind. Children with ASD may also experience sensory issues. The challenges these children face may lead to social isolation, low self-esteem and other social/emotional issues. Relax Kids’ adaptability and flexible approaches to the seven steps mean that the program can be easily tailored to suit a particular child’s needs.
