The fun to be had....?
We are excited to introduce a new Halloween themed event for this October half-term. Designed to ignite the imaginations of your little ones this magical adventure is packed with games, crafts, storytelling and exploration.

Based on the acclaimed children's book ‘Room on the Broom’ by the best selling author Julia Donaldson the programme is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression to anyone lucky enough to get tickets.

So join us if you dare, as we transform your little ones into witches and wizards for a spellbinding outdoor adventure not to be missed.

Saturday 19th October, Sunday 20th October, Monday 21st October, Wednesday 23rd October, Thursday 24th October

10.00am -12.00noon and 1.30pm - 3.30pm

The Hive, Moss Bank Park, Bolton BL1 6NB

Age range:

Children aged 18m to 8 years. Accompanying parents and siblings aged under 18 months attend for free.

So this is what we’ve conjured up:

  • Starting in her spooky cavern our resident witch will transform the children into witch and wizard apprentices
  • Imaginations will run wild as the story ‘Room on the Broom’ is narrated.
  • Next our witch will lead her young apprentices into the gardens in search of her missing treasures and friends
  • Then because all good sorceresses must be able to make magical potions our novice witches and wizards will discover how to make their own mysterious brew that fizzes and bubbles.
  • After the potion is perfected our budding sorcerers will be invited to attend the wand making class to create their own unique magic wand.
  • Next the gathered around the witch’s fire, our young students will be formally inaugurated into the ‘Magical Kingdom of Wizardry’ and awarded their certificates in sorcery while they toast marshmallows.

And if that wasn’t enough.....

Just before its time to leave the Children will be invited to find their own special pumpkin which has been hidden in the woods. Finally, with pumpkins, certificates and wands tucked into small hands our newly qualified sorcerers will head home ...all worn out and over flowing with magical charm.

£10.00 per child, includes craft items made, toasted marshmallows, pumpkin and ‘Room on the Broom’ stencil to take home.
