Join us for a Halloween feast - costumes are welcome (encouraged, even, but not obligatory) and the witching hour is guaranteed to be tasty.

We’ll start with bubbling cauldrons of velvety pumpkin and sweet potato soup, served with rosemary bread for tearing and sharing. Then comes a banquet that Bram Stoker himself might have penned: slow-cooked beef stew, cider-braised chicken with apples and thyme, woodland mushroom and chestnut pie, and bubbling autumn vegetable gratin, with all the trimmings of a harvest table.

Desserts bring the drama: rich chocolate tart with a chilli kick, jewel-like poached pears in spiced red wine, and a sticky pumpkin spice pudding drowned in toffee sauce. Finished with coffee and a little trick-or-treat to take home.

Every month, we create a line-up of fabulous food served on communal tables in our gorgeous Music Room where you share a feast and a good time while we bring out dish after dish of food. Starters

  • Witch’s Cauldron Soup – velvety roasted pumpkin and sweet potato with a swirl of sage cream (V, GF, PBa)
  • Tear-and-Share Rosemary Bread with whipped herb butter (V, PBa, GFa)

Main Course

  • Bram Stoker’s Beef Stew – beef shin slow-cooked in red wine with mushrooms and shallots (GF, DF)
  • Wild Hunter’s Chicken – braised in cider with apples, bacon and thyme (GF, DF)
  • Woodland Mushroom and Chestnut Pie – flaky pastry, creamy chestnut and mushroom filling (V, PB option available)
  • Witch’s Garden Gratin – autumn vegetables layered with cheese and golden breadcrumbs (V, PBa, GFa)
  • Served with: rosemary roast potatoes (V, PB), buttered greens (V, PB), honey roast parsnips and carrots (V, PB)

Desserts

  • Death by Chocolate Tart; rich ganache with a whisper of chilli heat
  • Poached Pears in Red Wine; cinnamon cream and deep ruby syrup (GF)
  • Pumpkin Spice Pudding; warm sponge with spiced pumpkin purée and toffee sauce
