How can I take part in the poetry slam?

Get yourself a 'Performer Ticket' and prepare an original poem of 3 minutes or less (no music, no props). Any style, any theme, anything you want! It doesn't have to be memorised and you're more than welcome to read from paper/your phone.

What happens if 'Performer Tickets' sell out?

There are only 10 available, so get in there quick! If you miss out or decide to you'd like to slam nearer the time, come along as an audience member and let us know you'd like to join the slam reserve list. Often, a couple of slammers can't make it, so it's definitely worth a go!

How can I get on the performer reserve list?

Let us know you'd like to join at the door on the night. We open the reserve list at 7pm and will take names on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Is the venue accessible?

The Tusk Club is the basement level of The Walrus which is only accessible via a flight of stairs. There is space to store wheelchairs / a mobility scooter on the ground floor. Assistance dogs are welcome.
