Description

WTC Explore provides you with the opportunity to go deeper into the Bible, grow in your faith and integrate quality teaching with life in the Spirit.

Theme: Embracing the power of the Kingdom for radical personal and community transformation

How central is God’s kingdom to our understanding of the gospel and a life of discipleship? Lucy Peppiatt begins with a biblical and theological perspective exploring the foundational principles of Jesus’ teaching on the Kingdom for an understanding of the whole of the Christian life. Drawing on insights from Dallas Willard, N.T. Wright, Scot McKnight, and John Wimber, Lucy presents a dynamic picture of the reality of the Kingdom of God on earth through the presence of Christ and the Spirit, considering the potential for the radical transformation of society through Christian life and witness.

Taking Ezekiel prophecy of the river of life in Ezekiel 47 as a starting point, Roger will take a catalytic look at the implications of incarnational kenotic theology for the local church and pose the questions: What does it mean for the church to be positioned for the world and not for itself? What are the priorities for a body of believers that intentionally pours itself out for the surrounding community? What might be the some of the implications for liturgy, calendar and organisational structure?
