Hampshire Meet the Buyer will bring together start-ups, SME’s and corporate companies in one location, so that we can create a sustainable and local business ‘life cycle’ within Hampshire.

Why we need this event:

You will need to come to the event with up to two people from your buying team (one MUST be of senior level) and be able to commit to a timed schedule of face to face appointments using our event app
You will have your own stand in the Buyer Room and must be agreeable to meeting multiple buyers in timed appointments across the duration of the event and also have Linked In profiles set up in advance of the event that can be linked through our app, on your company mobile phone.

Fred Jones is the Head of Cities for Uber across the UK and Ireland. Operating in more than 25 major cities and towns across the UK, Uber connects users to a safe and convenient ride at the touch of an app.
In this role, he is responsible for ensuring Uber’s service delivers maximum value for riders, drivers that use the app and cities where we operate. This includes launch of new cities and towns, expansion into underserved areas and growth of Uber’s Electric Vehicle and Mobility products.
University of Portsmouth Business School - Peter Hooley - Business Development Director
Peter is the Business Development Director of the Business School, at the University of Portsmouth. The University is committed to helping SMEs succeed and they have recently been awarded the Silver Level Small Business Charter. Peter will be speaking about how the University can help SMEs and their growth and will also be talking about a project that will help SMEs grow.
Daniel Disney - Founder of The Daily Sales - Daniel will be telling the story of how he built his brand. With over 90,000 followers on his page on Linked In, Daniel will be giving tips on Linked In and social selling (selling more through social media channels)
Steve McCulley - Lios Bikes - Steve will be giving a talk called 'From Battlefield to Bikes' and telling his story of recovery after major injury and moving into starting his own business from scratch. He has recently been featured in The Sunday Times.
Gethin Jones - Unlocking Potential
Gethin will be speaking on the following: 'From Prison to Boardroom' Gethin's journey has been extensive and he will be speaking 'from the heart' about his personal and business challenges and how he can help other business owners and managers 'unlock the potential' in their workforce.
Google Digital Garage - We have invited Google to attend the event and they will be speaking about how your business can reach new customers online and also learning more about your business with Google analytics (more to follow).

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Marriott has limited parking so Uber are providing discounted rides through their app on the day, we will make the code available to paid attendees and guests one week in advance of the event.
You will need to download Uber's own app from your mobile phone app store to access and use Uber and this is subject to their terms and conditions.
Nearest railway station is Cosham, Portsmouth (you can Uber from there).

Event starts at 9am with registration from 8.15am onwards. Please be aware that there are a large volume of attendees at this event, so there may be a small delay on checking in. So if you are there earlier, that will help.
What can I bring into the event?
Common sense prevails here. This is a business event, so no pets and ice creams (unless you are bringing us all one - ice creams that is), business dress and smart casual attire is acceptable.
We will greet you at the registration desk on the day and issue you with a badge and programme.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, we require that you have this with you, or that you have it on your phone.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
We accept that something may come up and as long as you advise us more than 24 hours in advance in writing, we can transfer it to another member of your company only. Please note, we cannot refund at such short notice.
Please note that this ticket cannot be used against any of our future events or other events organised by Little Kanga Ltd or value transferred in any way.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Please see above (if you need to notify us, this has to be in WRITING only to: email@example.com).
