Wedding Boot Fairs
You can create your own DIY wedding at the Wedding Boot Fair! Buy or sell your pre-loved & nearly new wedding items; from wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, favours, sweet carts, mother of the bride, jewellery, chair covers, bunting, table decorations, accessories and much, much more…….. We always have a hall full of recently married brides with hundreds and hundreds of fantastic items. On the day we also have a few select wedding busineses such as photographers, planners, suppliers etc,.. for you to create your perfect wedding.
This is a great event to turn your wonderful wedding items into some extra cash and pass them onto another bride 2 be to enjoy! Equally, if your looking for inspiration as well as items generally only used once on a special day, at much less than what you would pay for new, look no further! You can save hundreds!
As it's indoors you can stay warm and dry whilst browsing around. Facilities including toilets and refreshments with tables and chairs available. So Buy & Sell your wedding related items in comfort, without worrying about the weather at the lovely friendly Wedding Boot Fair! We hold these only three times a year, so spaces get booked up quickly and are extremely well attended with hundreds of visitors. Lots of fun often with live music and a superb source of making some cash or finding some bargains!
Set up in peace from 9.30am - 10.30am. Park outside, unload, set up your table and space, park your car and sit down ready for the rush with a cuppa! It's £16 for a six foot space for brides to sell preloved wedding items, bring along your own table (must fit into the six foot space). We will also provide you with a chair or two to use on the day for free included in the space fee. If you would prefer to hire a table from us on the day (6 foot sturdy table) then you can at an additional cost of £5 at the time of booking. If you are planning on selling clothes too, alongside your table, you must be able to fit this within your six foot space safely. (This isnt possible with six foot tables as you end up encroaching onto next doors space) If not, you will need to book an additional space, bring your own hanging rail. Tickets once purchased are non refundable or transferable.
Wedding Businesses or Suppliers
We offer a limited number of businesss & services spaces at the Wedding Boot Fair to promote or sell. Spaces are £35 for the day. We would prefer not to duplicate any types of services etc, so if there are too many booked you may be notified and we reserve the right to cancel and refund your booking, so please book early to avoid dissapointment or get in touch before doing so. Please check the categories when booking the tables. Wedding suppliers/businesses that are attending this event are to have relevant public liability insurance and bring a copy on the day. This does not apply for private brides selling at this event only businesses/suppliers. Tickets once purchased are non refundable or transferable.
No doubling of tables within a single pitch. When setting up please keep the safety of visitors in mind. Don't overload your table or pile items dangerously, especially with breakables. If you think you have too many items to safely display on one table then perhaps think about having a double space to accommodate. One or more of the team will be monitoring the hall and if they feel any stall poses a risk they will advise, to keep the sale safe and as accident free as possible for everyone. Strictly No packing away before 1:30pm. Visitors have paid to see a hall full of wonderful wedding items for sale, it's unfair when some tables start to remove their items early before the end of the sale.
The Locks Heath Centre has free parking for up to 3 hours. As the event runs longer for sellers, we have a special arrangement with the centre management for you to park your cars for longer within the fenced off area (next to the Genises Centre & Bus Stop Lane) after you have unloaded at the hall. There will be a sign on the fence.
Useful Tips & Information
We recommend you bring a nice table cloth and arrange your lovely wedding items so that buyers can see and easily look at them. Not everyone likes to rummage or bend down, so try and display items that attract attention and can be clearly seen. Make sure you bring plenty of change (lots of £10 & £20 notes used first thing) and bags are always handy for those who purchase a lot! Be prepared to haggle! Try to be reasonable with the amount your asking. If you ask for far too much you will go home with exactly the same amount you arrived with! There are refreshments available inside the community centre and of course we are right opposite waitrose and other shops including subway! Sorry, no dogs other than guide or aid dogs. Cashpoints available opposite the hall, outside waitrose and the newsagents/subway to the left of the hall as leaving.
Brides 2 Be you will LOVE this event! Not your traditional wedding fair, here you will be inspired and hopefully leave with some wonderful wedding items! First of all, make sure you pick up your Brides 2 Be Only FREE GOODY BAG as you arrive (whilst stocks available). Then, you are looking through hundreds of wedding items of all styles and tastes that may inspire you with ideas, or you will want to snap up for your special day! Don't forget to bring along friends & family for second or extra opinions and help with the bags of course!
Arriving early usually gives you the largest variety to choose from first. However, being last to leave is also a great way to grab those 'give away prices' as stall holders start to pack up and are hoping for final sales as don't want to take home! Not all stall holders have carrier bags so it's worth taking a couple of your own bags. Take a tape measure for clothes and accessories. Take a pen and paper in case you want to note down a sellers phone number. A colour swatch is also a good idea incase you want to 'match up'. It also helps to have a decent amount of small change as many sellers quickly run out of change or don't have enough first thing. Please be courteous to stallholders, these are their cherished wedding items that made their day special, they are hoping you might like them for yours. Some select wedding services will be in attendance on the day, so do take the time to say hello, you might find the perfect one for your special day.
