About this event

Explore the hand building techniques of pinching, coiling and slab-building! This can be for functional ware or small sculptural work (that must fit within the box that we post out to you, please see size below). Once your creation has been fired your piece will be dipped in one of four colours, so your finished piece will be a wonderful surprise!

You are welcomed to come with your own ideas or explore your creativity during the mindful 2.5 hours of making. All equipment, glazing and firing is provided. Two of your favourite pieces will be glazed and fired by us at no extra cost before being carefully wrapped and posted out to you.

Ticket includes a glass of wine, tea/coffee soft drinks and nibbles. An apron will be provided but please wear suitable clothing. All tools will be provided, and materials/firing/glazing/postage and packing are included in the ticket cost. Your work will be posted to you within one month.

No experience necessary as the session is beginner friendly as well for the more advanced participant. Art4Space is a friendly – safe, inclusive space.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

At the end of the session after a short explanation of the firing and glazing process you will be able to choose a beautiful glaze option for your pots. Your work will be fired, glazed in one of four colours, fired again then beautifully wrapped and posted to you. Postage included in the fee.

Please note: You will have the opportunity to make one or two small/medium pieces that are required to fit within the postage box (180 X 220 X 80 cm). Your work will be stored at the studio after the session, dried then fired twice. Once to bisque, then the item(s) will be glazed in one of four colours and fired again. Received to your address by one month.
