On this week long course we will cover methods of converting logs to final form products.


We will be covering, cleaving, hewing, pitsawing, and using tools like side axes and drawknives to produce products like beams, boards, shingles, lath, pegs etc.


A practical hands on course for those wanting to further their knowledge on historical methods to make logs into useable timber and products.

You will need suitable clothing, safety boots and eye protection. lunch, tools and materials will be provided.
