About this event

Details of session

We will be making a hand woven button that was popular in the 16th century, be aware the button mold is a small piece of wood that you wrap thread around and this may cause issues for those with arthritis. That being said I managed it and you do get short breaks from the wrapping to tie off ends. Having sewing clips helps to hold it together. You also need good lighting and eyesight.

Manylion y sesiwn

Byddwn yn gwneud botwm wedi'i wehyddu â llaw a oedd yn boblogaidd yn yr 16eg ganrif, byddwch yn ymwybodol bod y mowld botwm yn ddarn bach o bren rydych chi'n lapio edau o gwmpas a gall hyn achosi problemau i'r rhai sydd ag arthritis. Wedi dweud hynny, fe wnes i ei lwyddo ac rydych chi'n cael seibiannau byr o'r lapio i glymu pennau. Mae cael clipiau gwnïo yn helpu i'w ddal gyda'i gilydd. Mae angen goleuadau a golwg da arnoch hefyd.

Organized by

ReConnecting is a project run wholly by volunteers . We undertake activities to try to help people stay connected to the world, their families and hobbies, learn new skills, make friends and just have a small space of time that is for them. We have a few rules, turn up at sessions where we have provided a kit to you, (no need to have your video or microphone on), send us a picture of your finished work for our gallery.

We know that joining in can be scary and make you feel anxious, most people who come to our sessions initially feel the same way, give it a try.
