The Consortium for Thereapeutic Communities have come together with The Care Leavers Foundation to present this exciting and innovative conference which forms part of National Care Leavers Week 2016
This will be the first opportunity to hear from the DfE about Government's plans to trial the 'Staying Close' scheme for children leaving residentilal care....
The conference will appeal to those already working in the looked after children sector, professionals interested in developing their practice and those that have an interest in working to support and promote successful transitions into adulthood. We intend to provide the ideal opportunity to come together with those with lived experience and other professionals to participate in workshops and debate with speakers and presenters. There will also be the prospect of meeting young people representing looked after children and care leavers, whilst enjoying a range of networking opportunities. Our aim in delivering this conference is to promote high quality transitions from care that improves the physical health, social, educational and emotional wellbeing of looked-after children and young people.
