Handling Addiction in General Practice
Thu 29 September 2016, 19:00 – 22:00 BST
Network Locum is pleased to announce our next CPD event with The Priory Group, being held at the luxury 4 star hotel, Novotel London, Tower Bridge.
Led by our Head of Clinical Education, Dr Ishani Patel, this event focusses on Addiction in primary care, including the concepts of addiction in its widest form, substance misuse, and basis for treatment.
Dr Chris Udenze is a Nottingham-based GP who specialises in substance misuse. His single-handed practice serves the highest number of asylum seekers and refugees per WTE GP, as well as patients with serious mental health problems, those with HIV, and transgender patients. Clinically he has a very patient-centred, holistic approach, and aims to treat individual complaints or episodes in the context of the patient's psycho-social history.
Dr Neil Brener is a Consultant Psychiatrist who joined The Priory Hospital North London in 1997 and also runs a busy clinic in Harley Street and The City. He has a broad experience in the full range of psychiatric conditions, in particular he specialises in the treatment of addictions and depression.
This primary care-led event promises to be an interesting and informative evening, kicked off with complementary drinks, a buffet, and a chance to network with speakers and fellow GPs.
All attendees will receive a CPD certificate which carries 3 CPD points.
