Rejection in academic life is inevitable. This session looks at how you can prepare for rejection, in the context of publications, grants or job opportunities, and build on the outcomes to move forward in a positive way.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Prepare for rejection as a normal part of academic life and job seeking
- Have a plan in place to support themselves or others to move forward positively, build on feedback, repurpose ideas and learn from experience
Presenter information:
Elizabeth Adams (She/ Her)
Elizabeth is a coach and consultant with over 15 years' experience in researcher development. Her main focus is on academic leadership / career coaching and research culture.
Elizabeth brings a strong understanding of how support and interventions at individual, team and organisational level can help to embed a culture of creativity, innovation and collaboration, where people can grow and develop.
