About this event
The hugely anticipated Handmade Oxford, The International Contemporary Crafts Festival will be returning on 23-26 June at the beautiful Waterperry Gardens, allowing visitors to meet over 130 makers throughout the festival whilst shopping and browsing exquisite, contemporary British craft and engaging in a packed program of workshops, live craft demonstrations, and talks programs.
From Handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, and glass to Textiles, Sculptures, and Interior Accessories, visitors will be able to find plenty of inspirational ideas for themselves and as gifts. They will also have a chance to join in and learn something new with our variety of workshops, including woodworking, marbling, drawing, painting, and block printing to name a few.
From tempting BBQ treats, and Artisan Gin to delicious vegan-friendly dishes, the wide range of artisan food and drinks will ensure there is something for everyone in the family. Live music performances from local artists are also scheduled throughout the festival.
Tickets are available now and the full exhibitor list, workshops, and talks are updated weekly on our website.
We will follow the latest government guidelines to ensure our event is as safe as possible with the necessary and required COVID-19 safety protocols.
Children under 14 enter free and a free personal assistant ticket will be free of charge for a carer. Please bring proof of eligibility with you to show at the entrance upon arrival.

Artists will be on-hand showing you in-person techniques within their craft discipline and sharing their insightful expertise. We can guarantee there will be plenty of inspiration all around!
LEARNING WORKSHOPS
Engage in a variety of workshops and learn something new. Get creative with the family in a fun and interactive festival atmosphere, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Get involved in woodworking, marbling, testing watercolours, and drawing portraits, plus more!

EXPLORE WATERPERRY GARDENS
Made famous by Beatrix Havergal who established her School of Horticulture for Ladies from 1932 to 1971, it’s now home to eight acres of beautifully landscaped ornamental gardens. You can take a break from the excitement of the Festival and enjoy a relaxed stroll in the spring where you will be surrounded by a glorious array of shrubs, flowers, and trees.
If you wish to make the most of the day, tickets are available to enter the beautiful, historic Waterperry Gardens alongside the Festival itself.
