Hands On Film Action: Crafting Action in Film is designed for filmmakers and actors who want to master the art of shooting and designing dynamic, engaging, and emotionally driven action scenes. Led by industry professionals, this course teaches you the skills in front and behind the camera to make an action sequence work—from choreography to cinematography, editing, and performance direction.

  • Choosing the Right Tools

    From Phones to Steadicams, we look at the wide range of equipment you can use
    to shoot your action.
    Then we look at the different techniques using this equipment.
  • Weapons on Camera

Knives, Guns, Swords and more, and how they work on film and the risk factors
they bring from handling to set management.

  • Collaborating with Fight Teams and Fight Performers

    How Fight Coordinators fit into the set dynamic and who is responsible for what.
  • The Role of Previsualization & Editing

    Explore the role of Previsualization and understanding the Editing Process and how
    it affects your action.|
  • Shooting an Action Scene

    Using Professional equipment and two trained fight performers, this is
    YOUR opportunity to shoot an action scene your way.
