About this event

Community • Heritage

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on workshop at this historic Victorian Jewish cemetery. We’ll be joined by stone conservator Tom Bardwell, who led recent restoration work on site. Tom will share what goes into caring for historic gravestones and monuments.

You’ll also have the chance to get involved with some light grave-tending, many of the stones are now covered in ivy after decades of nature taking its course. With your help, we hope to restore and preserve this special place for future generations.

Suitable for adults and children aged 7 and over. All children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable, sturdy footwear, as the activity will take place outdoors and involves walking throughout.
