Description

Get a Grip on Handwriting

Writing by hand is a difficult cognitive skill for any child because it places huge demands on the processing capacity.

This Handwriting workshop from Morrells Handwriting will look at the science behind Handwriting, including how we achieve the physical act of Handwriting. Hear why it is necessary to practise Handwriting away from all other activities including phonics and why a continuous cursive style can be a curse rather than a cure for children with Dyspraxia.

Sue Smith has been training teachers to teach Handwriting for over a decade and is currently training the tutors at the Hampstead Dyslexia Clinic. This workshop promise to be informative, fun and interactive, offering you a wealth of practical Handwriting tips to ensure children, teenagers and adults achieve speedy legible Handwriting.

*We have a Dyslexia Parent Support Drop in before this event 5.30 till 6.30pm
