Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There is no age limit, but any attendees that are aged 12 or under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, who has also purchased a ticket to the event. It is advisable to bring proof of age.

PLEASE NOTE: you'll need to get an adult over 18 to buy your ticket, and must have a parent/guardian’s consent to go to the event.

What are my transport/parking options?

From Glasgow Central

Take the Waterloo/Hope Street entrance, turn left, immediately cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, thestudio is just on your right.

From Queen Street

Exit the station, turn right and follow West George Street till Nelson Mandela Place, turn left onto Buchanan Street, cross St Vincent Place and continue down to Gordon Street. Turn right on Gordon Street, crossing Mitchell Street and Union Street. Turn left at the end onto Hope street – cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, thestudio is just on your right.

From NCP Mitchell Street

Exit the car park, turn left onto Mitchell Street then left onto Gordon Street. Cross Union Street then turn left at the end onto Hope street – cross over Hope street opposite Waterloo Street and continue down Hope Street, thestudio is just on your right.

From NCP Oswald Street

Exit the car park and turn right onto Oswald Street, cross Argyle Street and follow Hope Street for 200 yards, the studio is on your left

What should I bring to the event?

You'll probably want to bring your camera or phone, as there will be photo opportunities with YouTubers, as well as the chance to update your social media using our event hashtag. There will be a place to hang coats, but please note DC Thomson accepts no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to personal property brought to the premises.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Your ticket(s) will be an e-ticket sent via email. Please print your ticket(s) prior to the event and bring it with you on the day. No physical paper tickets will available.

What is the refund policy?

Sorry, we can't issue refunds on tickets, except in the case of cancellation, in which case we will issue a refund as per clause 7 in the T&Cs below.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Please contact us no less than 24 hours before the event if you need to change a name on a ticket, and we'll update our records. The new attendee must fulfil the age limit requirements outlined above.

Terms and Conditions of Online Event Booking

These terms and conditions, together with the FAQs and any Eventbrite terms and conditions, apply to this event which is organised by DC Thomson & Co. Ltd. (company no. SC005830), the owner of Shout magazine (“us” or “we”)

Bookings, payments and cancellation

1. Submitting a booking for an event through this website constitutes a legally binding agreement on you.

2. We reserve the right (acting in our sole discretion) to refuse to accept your booking.

3. We must receive full payment in cleared funds on booking. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we have not received full payment in clear funds by this time.

Filming, photography and social media

4. We and our event partners and sponsors may film or take photographs (including flash photography) at events. Such films or photographs may be used (without limitation) in publicity and marketing materials (including our website). If you do not wish to appear in such films or photographs, then you must notify us in writing prior to the event, in which case we will use reasonable efforts to ensure that you do not appear in such films or photographs.

5. Unless you are told otherwise i) we encourage attendees to use social media to share comments and thoughts in relation to the event and ii) you may also share photographs and videos on social media that you take at the event using your smartphone provided that you acknowledge they were taken at the event.

Changes to events and force majeure

6. We reserve the right to change (at our sole discretion) the format, speakers, participants, content, venue location or any other aspect of an event at any time and for any reason, whether or not due to force majeure and (subject to clause 7) in each case without liability or refund. “Force majeure” shall include without limitation any event beyond our reasonable control and includes (without limitation) speaker or participant withdrawal, fire, flooding, health scare, disaster, venue damage or cancellation, supplier or contractor failure, failures of any public transport and industrial disputes.

7. We reserve the right to cancel or change the date for an event at any time for any reason. In the event of a cancellation or change of date of an event by us (other than for reasons of force majeure), our only liability will be to offer you the option of a full refund for your booking or (where possible) attendance at any rescheduled date for the event. Any refund will be paid to you within 30 days after the date of notification of cancellation/change of date.

Our liability

8. Subject to clause 7, to the fullest extent possible in law, we are not liable to you for any loss, delay, damage or other liability incurred by you or your property and/or arising from the event itself; cancellation of an event; change of venue or date; or any actions or omissions of our suppliers, contractors or other participants or speakers.

9. All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by law (whether by statute, common law or otherwise) are excluded from these terms and conditions.

10. We are not liable or responsible for the content of any presentation, speech, publication or performance by speakers or participants at our events unless such individuals are employees or representatives of us and participating in their capacity as our employee or representative.


11. Our privacy policy sets out how we may use your personal information. By accepting these terms and conditions, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept the privacy policy.

12. We may collect from time to time feedback from you and use it for future marketing purposes. If you do not wish to have comments attributed to you, please do not identify yourself on any feedback forms.

13. These terms and conditions (including in relation to any non-contractual obligations), as may be amended from time to time by us, are governed by English Law and the English courts have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising under these terms and conditions (including in relation to any non-contractual obligations).
