Hanover Square Lunchtime Concert: Anastasia Barabanova

Today's Hanover Square Lunchtime Concert is given by pianist Anastasia Barabanova who will perform the following programme:

Mozart - Piano Sonata No. 12 in F major K 332

Scriabin - Piano Sonata No. 2 in G sharp minor Op. 19

Chopin - Étude in C major Op. 10 No. 7

Sofia Gubaidulina - Chaconne

Anastasia Barabanova, a prize winner of numerous international competitions, made her debut concert with orchestra as a soloist at the age of nine. Since then she performed as a soloist with various orchestras. She graduated with diploma with honours from Central Music School (Moscow) and is currently studying at the Royal College of Music, London, for a Bachelor of Music degree. Her performance venues include Carnegie Hall, Rachmaninov Hall and Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Ehrbar Hall and others. She is a laureate of such competitions as American Protege International Concerto Competition, 1st prize; Clara Schumann International Competition, 1st prize and many others. Ms. Barabanova has performed actively in many festivals in Europe and Russia. Anastasia is a regular participant of concert programmes held by the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation.
