Happy Faces Leicester Picnic in the Park
Sat 6 May 2017, 12:00 – 15:00 BST
Join us for a Picnic in the Park held by Happy Faces Leicester to celebrate Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week!
Join others affected by Cleft, enjoy a picnic in the sunshine (we hope!) and share experiences with other families.
The River Soar runs through beautiful Abbey Park and on the western side are the fascinating Abbey Grounds with the remains of the twelfth century Leicester Abbey, and the ruins of Cavendish House, a seventeenth century mansion. To the east of the river lies the highly decorative Victorian part of the park with its evergreen shrubberies, trees, boating lake, miniature railway, and formally planted flower displays.
What you need to know:
We will meet near the bandstand from 12pm on Saturday 6th May for a picnic in the park. There will be giant board games for everyone to use and some group games for any children, young people and adults who would like to join in!
The day is aimed at all families affected by Cleft in the area so everyone is welcome
Please bring your favourite family pals and some edible goodies to join us
Parents and carers need to stay for the whole day and will be responsible for their children at all times
For more information about the day please contact Claire Evans on 07792 772362 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
