In response to the growing commodification of creativity, designer and facilitator Arty Nicharee has designed Haptic Tactic, a workshop for creative renewal as a part of the live programming for Housewarming.
The participants will be guided through a reflective, hands-on experience using clay to push back against the pressure to perform. The workshop centres on creating conversation, making personal clay artifacts, allowing a tangible connection to one's own values and a symbolic release of creative burdens.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about the approach to mindful making and find community in a space dedicated to process over product.
All are welcome—no prior experience with clay is needed.
What to prepare:
- Cut your nails short
- An outfit that you don't mind getting dirty
- Clay tools (there will be some at the workshop, but also feel free to bring your own!)
