Description

hAQUAthon 2018: 27th & 28th November, Birmingham

Following the success of the 2017 event, which brought together over 80 water industry experts, the hAQUAthon will return in November 2018: merging data science, innovation and collaboration to drive innovation through a fun, free informal event.

The event is produced by decisionLab and Artesia Consulting in conjunction with Twenty65 and the Future Water Association all working in the sphere of data science application within water and beyond.

We identified that innovation and knowledge was not always being shared across the water industry, thus impeding the implementation of new ideas. We believe that through sharing ideas and knowledge in a non-traditional format we can accelerate the pace of change, by breaking down barriers that might normally exist.

The hAQUAthon is a “data hack” event, which is FREE to attend, looking to solve on going issues in the water sector. We will be looking at new methods to improve and deliver:

The long term resilience of water and wastewater systems

Delivering great customer service combined with affordability

Protecting the environment

Winners will have the chance to pitch their ideas at the end of the event to a team of Judges from the industry that will evaluate the feasibility of taking this further into the commercial sector with a package of support and mentoring.

Make new connections, discuss and solve todays challenges and be part of a new wave of change.
