Event description

Description

Join our Ranger on a free guided dog walk across the Hardwick parkland.

Explore the Hardwick parkland with your dog on a guided walk with a Hardwick Ranger. A great opportunity to stretch your legs and discover a recommended route with your furry friend. The walk begins and ends at the Stableyard near to the restaurant, shop and toilets. The walk is free, parking charges apply, please book in advance.

We recommend a person per dog. Meet at The stableyard, outside the toilets shop and restaurant.Weather appropriate clothes and footwear for muddy ground.

You are responsible for your dog at all times. This means the wellbeing of your dog as well as their actions.
Dogs must be kept on a short, fixed lead of no more than 2m at all times unless the walk leader says it is safe to let them off.
Please be respectful of the needs of others; some dogs need space, some want to play, some might not be used to socialisation. We want everyone to enjoy themselves so we’ll all do our best to avoid any difficult situations. If your dog needs extra space, come to the front or stay towards the back of the group. Please ensure your dog doesn't jump up on other visitors. Please pick up after your dog and carry the waste to a bin. If you need a spare bag the walk leader will have some.
Please do not let your dog enter the ponds; it disturbs the wildlife. Walk leaders and volunteers are here for questions, comments and advice on responsible dog walking at Hardwick. Please listen to the walk leader, especially in the unlikely event of an emergency.
