Graveside commemoration to mark the centenary of Harry Boland's death.
About this event
Harry Boland died in St. Vincent's Hospital on 1 August 1922 after being shot by Free State troops the night before in a hotel in Skerries. A veteran of the 1916 Rising and close ally of Michael Collins and Eamon de Valera during the War of Independence, Harry opposed the Treaty and paid for it with his life.
To conclude a weekend of commemorative events, a TBC speaker will give a graveside oration. Member of Harry's family, his siblings' descendants, will be in attendance.
For Health & Safety reasons, attendance will be restricted. Consequently, we are obliged to allocate tickets on a first come, first served basis.
