Come and hearken tae Matthew Fitt as he reads extracts frae his new translation into Scots of J K Rowling’s buik Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

To celebrate twenty years of Harry Potter, and under the umbrella of Book Week Scotland we are delighted to welcome Matthew to discuss his new translation of the novel into Scots. Harry Potter has already been translated into 79 languages and Matthew’s version into Scots is translation number 80. Matthew has already translated several weel kent favourite books under the imprint Itchy Coo including Roald Dahl’s The Eejits, and David Walliams Mr Mingin and Mr Stink. Matthew is also an official translator for the Scottish Parliament.
