The September Hatch Networking Walk!

Ready to boost your headspace and connect with fellow Kent business leaders in a truly refreshing way? Join us for our September Hatch Networking Walk, kicking off at the lovely Hook & Hatchet in Hucking.

Hatch is your local "networking happy place," created for business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders like you in the Kent area. If you're looking to escape the daily grind, nurture your mental wellbeing, build resilience, and connect with a supportive community that truly understands the entrepreneurial journey, then this is for you. It’s a chance to combat the loneliness that can sometimes come with running a business and find genuine connections. This is your permission slip to pause, recharge, and invest in yourself and your business.

The theme for our September event is 'Nest for Success – Harnessing endings to create new beginnings'

What to Expect

Our walk begins at The Hook & Hatchet pub. We'll embark on a 4 km circular walk (taking approximately 1 hour of walking in total) through the beautiful surrounding Kent countryside, perfectly paced for conversations to flow easily. Midway, we'll pause for around 30 minutes for a guided outdoor session on transition and renewal in nature with Beth Grayston from Fresh Air Thinking.

We'll arrive back at The Hook & Hatchet around 11:00 am, where you can purchase refreshments and find the perfect opportunity to continue those valuable conversations, deepen connections, and enjoy that "networking, without the work" feeling.

Good to Know Before You Go

  • Well-Behaved Dogs Welcome: We love it when well-behaved dogs join us! Please keep them on a lead or under close, reliable control at all times, especially around any livestock or wildlife. Naturally, please come prepared to clean up after your furry friend.
  • All-Weather Walkers: We're a hardy bunch and aim to walk in (almost!) all weathers. Please check the forecast on the day and dress appropriately for the conditions – layers are often a good idea!
  • Footwear & Terrain: Our route will primarily use footpaths and countryside trails, avoiding roads and pavements as much as possible. Sturdy, comfortable walking footwear (walking shoes or boots with good grip) is essential.
  • Weather Preparedness:
  • On Wet Days: Waterproof outerwear (and trousers, if you like!) is highly recommended.
  • On Hot Days: Please bring a hat, water to stay hydrated throughout the walk, and apply sun cream before you arrive.
  • Your Responsibility: Please note that all participants join the walk at their own risk.

Capturing the Moment

We're looking forward to capturing the vibrant atmosphere of our upcoming walk! A friendly photographer will be with us to take pictures of the event and our community. These photos help us share the experience and invite more local business folk to join us in the future. We also encourage you to take your own pics and share them with us too! If you'd prefer not to be in any photos, please just let us know on the day.
