Hatch Monthly Walk: Networking & Vision Setting
Overview
The New Year Hatch Happy Networking Walk!
Ready to boost your headspace and connect with fellow Kent business leaders in a truly refreshing way? Join us for our January Hatch Networking Walk, at the lovely Mote Park, Maidstone.
Hatch is your local "networking happy place," created for business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders like you in the Kent area. If you're looking to escape the daily grind, nurture your mental wellbeing, build resilience, and connect with a supportive community that truly understands the entrepreneurial journey, then this is for you. It’s a chance to combat the loneliness that can sometimes come with running a business and find genuine connections. This is your permission slip to pause, recharge, and invest in yourself and your business.
The theme for our January event is 'Hatching your Golden Intentions for 2026'
It's time to hatch those plans! Join our relaxed, all-weather FREE community walk in beautiful Mote Park, Maidstone. We will combine mindful movement with powerful goal setting to lay the 'golden eggs' for your business and personal wellbeing in 2026, followed by refreshments at the cafe.
What to Expect
Join the Hatch Happy community for a refreshing start to your Friday in the rejuvenating natural setting of Mote Park. This isn't just a walk—it's an intentional session designed to help you step out of the office and into nature to clear your mind and focus your energy for the year ahead.
This event is all about being relaxed, present, and in the moment. We will embrace the peaceful atmosphere amongst the trees and use this time to connect with ourselves and other positive members of the community.
The morning will include:
- A Focused Walk (Approx. 1 Hour): Starting promptly at 9:30 AM, we will enjoy a focused walk on a circular route through the park.
- Intentions & Goal Setting Exercise: Mid-way through the walk, we will pause in a sheltered spot for a brief, relaxed, and guided exercise focused on setting Good Intentions for the Year Ahead:
- Business Focus: Setting clear intentions to help your business hatch new opportunities and grow.
- Personal Wellbeing Focus: Defining intentions for your personal health, happiness, and self-care. - Refreshments & Networking: We will conclude the walk back at the main cafe entrance around 10:30 AM, where we can enjoy coffee and refreshments together (purchases are optional).
We believe that clarity is best found when moving and connecting with nature. Come ready to share your vision or simply listen and absorb the positive energy of the group.

Good to Know Before You Go
- Well-Behaved Dogs Welcome: We love it when well-behaved dogs join us! Please keep them on a lead or under close, reliable control at all times. Naturally, please come prepared to clean up after your furry friend.
- All-Weather Walkers: We're a hardy bunch and aim to walk in (almost!) all weathers. Please check the forecast on the day and dress appropriately for the conditions – layers are often a good idea!
- Footwear & Terrain: Our route will primarily use footpaths and countryside trails, avoiding roads and pavements as much as possible. Sturdy, comfortable walking footwear (walking shoes or boots with good grip) is essential.
- Weather Preparedness:
- On Wet Days: Waterproof outerwear (and trousers, if you like!) is highly recommended.
- On Hot Days: Please bring a hat, water to stay hydrated throughout the walk, and apply sun cream before you arrive.
- Your Responsibility: Please note that all participants join the walk at their own risk.
Capturing the Moment
We're looking forward to capturing the vibrant atmosphere of our upcoming walk! A friendly photographer will be with us to take pictures of the event and our community. These photos help us share the experience and invite more local business folk to join us in the future. We also encourage you to take your own pics and share them with us too! If you'd prefer not to be in any photos, please just let us know on the day.
