Hatha yoga involves breath work, a gentle warm up, standing, kneeling, seated and lying poses so you will need to be able to get up and down off the floor easily. Each week we focus on a different theme so that we work on different areas of the body. Each class finishes with a relaxation and once a month we do an all floor based gentle stretch practise with a longer and sometimes guided relaxation which we call yoga nidra, this can help aid with a better night's sleep. Please bring your own mat and block and i will provide any additional props.

I am a freelance Yoga Teacher, teaching at various locations in and around Gainsborough, bringing yoga to you in your community.

The Yoga classes i offer are, Ashtanga basics to help get you started with this dynamic fast paced practise. I also teach hatha yoga which is taken at a much steadier rate with breath work, a gentle warm up, some standing postures, seated postures and a relaxation to finish. I teach a gentle chair based yoga where we use the chair as a prop, to assist with postures and aid with balance, this class attracts a more senior age group but is also ideal if you have had an illness or injury and looking for a gentle, rehab style practise to ease you back into yoga.

Class prices are £8 and £6 for seniors, can be paid on the day of class. I use the Eventbrite booking system so that everyone can reserve their yoga mat place.
