Description

National SDS Guidance for Providers - Consultation in the Borders

This year P&P is producing guidance which aims to help providers think creatively about how they organise their systems and services. The guidance comes in light of the ongoing implementation of self-directed support and the increasing numbers of people exercising choice and control over how their support is arranged and delivered.

We want to produce the guidance in close collaboration with providers, people who recieve support and other partners. This consultation event is being held to engage with providers working in the Borders area and will be an opportunity for them to offer views on different themes, such as:

  • The ethics and principles of self-directed support for providers
  • Flexibility in the workforce
  • Finance systems
  • Commissioning and procurement
  • Challenges of providing personalised support in rural areas

Registration and coffee from 10am, the event starts at 10.30am. A buffet lunch will be served in the afternoon.

This is a free event but places are limited.
