About this event
This session is designed for apprentices and apprentice mentors at any stage, but may be particularly helpful for those working with new teams or managers.
Having effective conversations when the topic is complex or emotive needs consideration and planning. This introductory session will explore how you can plan and conduct conversations for effective dialogue.
Objectives:
- Build confidence about approaching difficult conversations
- Identify personal signs of stress and use techniques to remain calm during difficult conversations
- Identify a structured method to prepare for and have conversations
- Develop an action plan to enhance strengths and address development needs relating to effective dialogue
About this event
This 2 hour workshop will be delivered online via MS Teams.
Eligible participants are:
- Aged 16 or over
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- Employed within a Lancashire-based* SME**
- An apprentice, aspiring to be an apprentice or a work based mentor
*'Lancashire' means based in a Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen, or Blackpool postcode area
**An SME (Small, Medium Enterprise) is an enterprise with less than 250 employees, turnover less than 50 million Euros or balance sheet total of less than 43 million Euros.
