Event description
Discover Haweswater's fascinating nocturnal wildlife on our brand new Creatures of the Night event!

About this Event

From badgers, foxes and deer roaming in Naddle Forest to tawny owls, bats and moths flying overhead, Haweswater truly comes alive after sunset!

Our new Creatures of the Night event will have lots of fun RSPB guided activities for all the family to enjoy, including bat detecting, moth trapping, night-time forest exploration, after-dark bug safaris and more.

Come along to hear the alien-like clicking and zzzipping of bat chat, and see the iridescent golds and greens of magical moths. Spy on snuffling badgers as the sun sets and maybe even hear the haunting call of a tawny owl above your head.

Of course a night in nature is best enjoyed with a hot chocolate, and we'll have plenty of marshmallows to top off your complimentary drinks.
