About this event

Hazlehurst Snap & Social is a monthly, social group walk exploring local green spaces and interesting places.

For this month's walk, we are taking part in the 'Look Up Halton: You're Beautiful project' and celebrating this year's Heritage Open Day theme: Architecture! The 'Look Up Halton: You're Beautiful' project is asking for locals and visitors of Halton to submit photos and artworks of beautiful architectural gems from the area to act as inspiration for a new window artwork to be displayed at Runcorn Library on High Street (image below).

‘Look Up Halton- you are Beautiful!’ artist Colette Whittington will be joining us on the walk to gather inspiration for her piece. She’s hoping to snap and chat alongside us to gain your local insight, perspective and stories about the route along the way. Please feel free to share or ask her anything. We'll be taking part by sharing photos using Visit Halton hashtags #LookUpHalton and #HaltonHighlights (on Facebook and Instagram).

What Should You Bring? It's not about the gear you have, bring whatever camera you like - it's totally up to you. Whether you're shooting with your phone, film, or digital - we're out here to have fun taking photos 📱 🎞️ 📷. Make sure to dress appropriately for the ever-changing British weather.

When & Where? We'll meet at 11.00 am at the Glasshouse in Victoria Park and make our way to Farnworth Church, capturing architectural gems along the way.

As always, you are welcome to stay with us for the whole walk or peel away whenever suits you. Dogs welcome.Made possible via UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
