Description

How to Compete and Win Like the World’s Most Innovative Leaders

How many great inventions have you never heard of? Having a breakthrough idea does not equal success. Look at Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk: They have been successful not only because of their ideas, but because of the reputations and networks they built to successfully commercialize their creativity.

Curtis Lefrandt and co-authors Jeff Dyer and Nathan Furr shine a light on this critical ingredient they call innovation capital: A separate skill set tied to leadership, influence, social capital, and relationship management, that can be learned and earned by practicing specific behaviors and leveraging the right activities at the right time.

On 5th November, Curtis will join us for a morning event in Dublin to discuss how people compete for, and obtain, resources to launch innovative new ideas—even, in some cases, before they’ve earned a track record of innovation.

Copies of Innovation Capital, will be available to purchase at the event.

Innovation Capital: How to Compete and Win Like the World’s Most Innovative Leaders (978-163369525) is published by Harvard Business Review Press.
