Event description
A young woman boards a time-traveling train, followed by a mysterious assailant.

About this event

On her journey to understand her future she must confront her past. This short film was produced by a group of 14-21 year olds on Holborn Community Association’s Summer Film Project 2021 in partnership with London Transport Museum. From June-August, young people learnt from professional filmmakers at HCA to conceptualise, shoot and edit their own short film responding to the theme of ‘Journeys’. The group had exclusive access to film at London Transport Museum's world renowned depot in Acton, using a collection of original transport artifacts, and stories of the people that have travelled, lived and worked in the city as inspiration for their film.

The event includes a screening of their behind-the-scenes film, a photography exhibition documenting the project, as well as a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Organiser Bloomsbury Festival

Organiser of HCA Summer Film Project Screening

Local, global, inspiring - Bloomsbury Festival is a unique event created with over 100 partners in this vibrant cultural quarter.  For ten days in October, the streets, parks, museums, galleries, laboratories and public and private buildings of Bloomsbury will host up to 150 original events which attract audiences from across London and beyond.

A hotbed of creativity and pioneering development, Bloomsbury also has one of the youngest and most diverse residential populations in the country. Bloomsbury Festival acts as a catalyst bringing together the area's artists, scientists and residents to explore arts and ideas through the prism of an annual theme.

Outside the Festival event, the organisation delivers community engagement and arts development projects across the year. These include it’s pioneering project, Festival in a Box, which takes artists into the homes of people living with dementia to provide life enhancing and joyful cultural experiences.

Above all, Bloomsbury Festival aims to be enlivening, engaging, entertaining, and fun!

Bloomsbury Festival is a charity. Find out how you can support us.
